The Beginning of the End

Life, in essence regardless of what some may have you believe, is almost entirely spiritual and philosophical, with everything else filling in the gaps between a series of realizations and understandings. What you do and where you go in life are therefore totally meager and insignificant in the greater scope of the life of any human being. What is fantastically more important is what you believe and you meet and take with you in the brief time you have here in this life. You really never will remember exactly what that shoreline with the glorious sunset looked like that night, but you will remember that it was beautiful. You will forget what you studied in high school, but your experiences from it will shape the rest of your life. That said, when you set out to write the story of your life, it will end up that you will not talk so much about the fact you're a doctor that made millions of dollars each year, but that you will write about how your family was always there to support you when you came home tired and stressed at the end of the day. It is time to realign life with the beauty of the experience instead of the grey repetition that filled the time between each experience. If one does not come to understand that, they are already in essence dead, they have eliminated in life what makes it wonderful to begin with. Yes, there will be bad times, yes there will be pain, but you will not remember it in the end. Start aliving, Leave your footprint.

That said, I, Andrew (Andres to my Spanish amigos) have started yet another blog, simply because I wanted to start on a fresh page, and already I've mucked it up with another philosophical lesson. This will be the one I will keep better tabs on my social activism, my travels, and the hours I spend in coffee shops (Their going to start charging me rent at Fibonacci soon, I basically live there). My previous blog outlined what I'm planning to do with the next decade of my life, this one will account for it, and maybe pass along whatever wisdom I can garner in this lifetime...

Wait, what the fuck am I talking about?

For those of a more political bent, the UN is showing signs of becoming more of a government bureaucracy than a tool to make the world a better place. They've announced that they're short of money to feed Darfur refugees and will be cutting their food supply.
